Alaska Raceway Park is in the process of developing a schedule for the 2013 racing season. During 2012, we experimented with running more two day weekends and having some weekends off for other summer activities—fishing, visitors, painting the fence. I’m all for a few more weekends off, if we’re already out at the track we might as well race two days. Would like to start early both days though, give our family’s time to eat dinner at a decent time Saturday night.
Sounds good to me it makes it more of a family camp out. It will be great for the Kids. This allows time to visit with all the other racers to get to know each other. Specially for anyone that is new to the track
Hi Guys…. all I would Suggest is to have a Special 4th of July Blast … Funny Cars… Rails…. And have to pick a Weekend because 4th don’t come on the weekend for a couple of years….. But That would be Great !! And you need to add a link….SHOP Where you can sell hats jackets T-shirts….everything in your little store that the people wished they bought on race Day….. That would mak a Ton of $$ for You….. Thanks Don
I really preferr the 2 day race weekends and camping at the track for the weekend. By the time I go to the effort to prep for racing I really like getting 2 days worth in for the same amout of effort.
we enjoy the 2 day weekends, it’s fun.
would be even nicer to have the king of street and money bracket on friday nights.
We like the 2 day weekends! It is nice to have weekends off to catch up at home, but we love the double and 3 days of racing. Great motorhome time with friends, and better odds of getting some racing in on marginal weather weekends. I think there should be more Friday night racing too!
